Watch: Canucks LW Daniel Sedin takes puck to the mouth
Hockey players are known to be tough bordering on crazy, and Vancouver Canucks left winger Daniel Sedin proved why during Monday’s game against the Arizona Coyotes.
In the first period, both Coyotes defenseman Michael Stone and Sedin were going for a loose puck in the air. Stone was able to get his hand on the puck, and batted it away directly into Sedin’s mouth. The left winger laid on the ice in pain after the play, as blood rushed from his mouth and splattered on his visor. He was able to get up and head to the bench before eventually being taken to the locker room for repairs.
Sedin, who leads the Canucks in goals with 16, returned to the game towards the end of the first period.
