Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban proved the power of his slapshot during Monday’s 5–2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets

During the second period, Subban received the puck around center ice and blasted a shot toward the net, beating Blue Jackets goalie Joonas Korpisalo

The goal was Subban’s third of the season. He tallied an assist in Monday night’s game as well and has 33 points so far this season.

Subban celebrated the score with excitement, but then earned himself a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct after he shoved Blue Jackets center Brandon Dubinsky.

The Canadiens have now lost seven of their last 10 games.
