It was a Scott Darling on Nick Spaling robbery in Chicago when the Blackhawks’ netminder robbed Toronto’s forward of a chance during Monday night’s game.

Spaling looked like he had the Maple Leafs first goal of the night, but an acrobatic save by Darling stopped the Leafs’ scoring chance. Darling’s impressive glove save might already be getting save of the year mentions.

Watch the play that made the Windy City crowd rise to its feet at the United Center for a much deserved “standing O.”

The Blackhawks will be relieved to know  their backup goalie can pull off huge saves like this while making their annual playoff surge.

Chicago ended up beating the Maple Leafs 7–2.
