Buffalo Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma announced Evander Kane has been suspended for missing practice after partying at the NBA All-Star Game weekend.

Kane scored a goal in the Sabres' 4–1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday and headed to Toronto to join the festivities. Kane posted videos of him drinking and partying on Saturday night on Snapchat.

He missed Monday morning's practice and will not make the team's trip to Ottowa for Tuesday's game against the Senators.

“He slept in, called Tim and myself, broke a team rule,” Bylsma told reporters. “We'll be dealing with it internally but he will not be playing in Ottawa. I'm disappointed.”

The coach said the team had no issue with Kane attending the All–Star Game, but that there was enough time to get back from Toronto in time for practice the next day.

Kane has 16 goals on the year, including five in the last six games.
