Ex-NHLer Ed Belfour auctioning off memorabilia

Ed Belfour is putting some of the memorabilia from his Hall of Fame career up for auction, including his famous eagle goalie mask.

Hall of Fame goalie Eddie Belfour earned $49,633,000 during his 16-year NHL career. Now he’s looking to make a little bit more.

The 50-year-old former All-Star put a bunch of his memorabilia on the block over at Classic Auctions. Among the items are the gold medal he won for Canada at the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, as well as his “Eddie the Eagle” goalie mask that he wore as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks from 1992-94.

The remaining items include everything from game-used equipment, to replica trophies and autographed pictures.

As of Wednesday night, the asking prices are in the $200-$400 range for autographs, between $5,000-10,000 for equipment and over $20,000 for his gold medal.

It’s unknown if anybody has offered Belfour $1 billion for anything yet.
