Watch: Preds’ Craig Smith redeems himself after blowing game-winner

It looked like it would be a regretful evening for Nashville Predators forward Craig Smith during Monday night’s game against the Montreal Canadiens.
With less than a minute left in overtime, Smith looked to be in perfect position, wide open in front of the net, to score the game-winner. However, the right winger managed to block his own shot, redirecting the puck on his follow through right into Canadiens goalie Mike Condon.
Bummer for Smith, but not for long.
In the shootout Smith came through for Nashville, scoring the only goal in the contest to give the Predators a 2–1 win.
