Predators’ Filip Forsberg gets natural hat trick vs. Leafs

Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg notched a natural hat trick in Toronto on Tuesday.

Entering Tuesday night’s tilt against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg was riding a hot streak with six goals and nine points through his last eight games. He’s now added three goals to that tally with the first regular-season hat trick of his career.

Against a Toronto squad that resembled the AHL’s Marlies, Forsberg potted three goals in just over 25 minutes for the natural hat trick and gave Nashville a quick 3–0 lead. The Predators would hold on to win the game, 3–2.

His first goal was the prettiest to look at, as Forsberg split the Maple Leafs defense and deked out goalie James Reimer from in close.

In case you’re wondering, Forsberg’s hat trick didn’t exactly draw an enthusiastic response from the Toronto crowd.
