Watch: Rookie Connor McDavid scores 22 seconds in vs. Sabres

In Tuesday night’s rookie showdown between the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres, forward Connor McDavid was the youngster who struck first.
Just 22 seconds after the puck dropped in the first period, McDavid faked out Sabres goalie Robin Lehner to score and put Edmonton on the board.
McDavid, who was the first overall pick in the 2015 draft, tallied his 11th goal this season. McDavid returned to the ice in early February after missing 37 games due to a broken collarbone.
