Tampa Bay Lightning lift Jonathan Drouin's suspension

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jonathan Drouin's will resume his career in the minors after the team lifted its suspension.

General manager Steve Yzerman announced Monday that Drouin is scheduled to report to Tampa Bay's American Hockey League affiliate in Syracuse for practice Tuesday.

The player selected third overall in the 2013 draft has been working out on his own in Montreal since Drouin was suspended indefinitely in January for missing a Syracuse game.

Drouin had asked to be traded in November, and was unhappy over being demoted to the minors in early January. He played in seven games for Syracuse before failing to report for a game on Jan. 20.

The 20-year-old has six goals and 34 assists in 89 NHL games.
