Johnny Gaudreau single handedly bumped the Calgary Flames to a 2-0 lead over the Nashville Predators on Wednesday night and it only took 10 seconds.

At 9:34 of the first period, Johnny Hockey sent a rocket past Predators goalie Carter Hutton that ricocheted off the camera inside the net and popped back out, leading to a review and ultimately a good goal.

The review must’ve given Gaudreau time to figure out his next move, because he caught Nashville defenders Ryan Ellis and MattiasEkholm off-guard before breaking in and going five-hole on Hutton for his 26th tally of the season at 9:44.

NHL sets four outdoor games for 2016-17 season

He bested his previous mark for quickest pair of goals, 16 seconds apart against the Edmonton Oilers on December 27th, 2014. He’s getting faster, but still has some work to do to get to Lanny McDonald’s record of two goals in six seconds against the Detroit Red Wings on March 22nd, 1984.

With the scores, Gaudreau surprassed his rookie-season totals for goals (24) and points (64) in one fell swoop, and his 26-39-65 totals lead the Flames across the board on the season.
