Ducks lose Perron, Andersen, Rakell, Lindholm to health woes

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) Anaheim Ducks forward David Perron will be out four to six weeks with a separated right shoulder, and goalie Frederik Andersen is out indefinitely with a concussion.

The Ducks announced a surge of injury woes Friday before their game against Vancouver, potentially imperiling their run for a fourth consecutive Pacific Division title in the regular season's final days.

Rickard Rakell also is out for a week with appendicitis, and defenseman Hampus Lindholm will miss at least one game with an illness.

Perron has been outstanding since arriving in a midseason trade with Pittsburgh, getting eight goals and 12 assists in 28 games. He was injured in a game at Winnipeg last month, and he returned early from Anaheim's road trip to undergo an MRI exam.

Perron's injury could sideline him until deep into the Ducks' potential playoff run, forcing coach Bruce Boudreau to shuffle his top lines.

Rakell, Anaheim's fourth-leading scorer with 43 points, will be out for less time after his appendicitis was identified during a medical appointment for an illness that kept him out of Wednesday's game.

The Ducks said Andersen sustained a concussion in the Ducks' win over Calgary on Wednesday, and the club didn't speculate on the length of his absence.

The Danish goalie has been half of an outstanding tandem with John Gibson, going 21-9-7 with a 2.36 goals-against average, two shutouts and a .917 save percentage. Andersen also will be a restricted free agent in the offseason.

Gibson appears to be healthy after a collision with Lindholm on Wednesday, and the Ducks have only one back-to-back set of games left on their schedule. They finish the season with consecutive road games at Colorado and Washington, and their postseason position could already be set before their long cross-country trip to make up a postponed game against the Capitals.

Anaheim recalled goalie Anton Khudobin and forward Chris Wagner from its AHL affiliate in San Diego.

Wagner also agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2017-18 season. The former Ducks draft choice has 10 points in 15 games at San Diego since returning to the Ducks, who reclaimed him on waivers from Colorado earlier this season.

Khudobin is 3-3 with a 2.70 GAA in eight appearances for Anaheim this season.
