The Philadelphia Flyers honored late founder and owner Ed Snider before Game 3 against the Washington Capitals on Monday at the Wells Fargo Center.

Snider, who died last week at age 83 after a two-year battle with cancer, founded the team in 1966 during the NHL’s expansion. He was at the helm of the squad’s management during its Stanley Cup victories in 1974 and 1975.

Snider was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988 and the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.

The Flyers entered Monday’s game trailing the Capitals 2–0 in the series.
