The first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs resumes Thursday with two teams fighting for their postseason lives, including the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks. The Detroit Red Wings will also look to stave off elimination, while the New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks will try to even their series at two games apiece.

• Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Laughton was stretchered off the ice Wednesday night, but all tests have come back negative after he stayed at a hospital overnight. 

• Jaromir Jagr reached a 200-point postseason milestone on Wednesday, but the 44-year-old Florida Panthers winger seemed unimpressed by his individual accolade.

• With an impressive performance in a Game 4 win over the Washington Capitals, backup goalie Michal Neuvirth is expected to start Game 5 for the Flyers. 

• Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins are unfazed by the taunts of Rangers superfan Nick Mangold, a center for the NFL’s New York Jets, who showed up for Game 3 to cheer on his favorite team. 

• Andrew Shaw was suspended one game for yelling a homophobic slur at a referee. The Blackhawks forward took full responsibility for his actions.
