Getting on the nightly highlight reel is no easy task, but Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tom Kuhnhackl got creative and found a way with a unique goal against the Washington Capitals in Game 3 of their second round series.

Penguins center Matt Cullen attempted to send a pass to Kunhhackl, but the puck tipped off Capitals defenseman Matt Niskanen’s stick and up into the air. Kuhnhackl, not prepared for the unorthodox pass, had his back to the puck, and his forward motion allowed the puck to bounce off his jersey numbers and past goalie Braden Holtby to give Pittsburgh a 2-0 lead.

The tally is Kuhnhackl’s second of the postseason, and gives him four points in eight games.
