Game 2 between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning went to extra time, but not a lot of it.

Sidney Crosby scored just :40 into overtime to give the Penguins a 3-2 win, knotting the Eastern Conference finals.

The tally, the fastest OT goal in Pittsburgh playoff history and the first of Crosby’s career, ended an eight-game goal drought, just the second time in his career he’s gone that long without scoring in the postseason. That goalless streak was in danger of getting to nine games after Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy robbed the Penguins captain in the second period.

Crosby, who has received his fair share of criticism in recent days—even some mid-game—now has four goals and 12 points in 13 games during the Penguins’ playoff run,

The series heads to Tampa for Game 3 on Wednesday.
