The Pittsburgh Penguins and San Jose Sharks will begin the best-of-seven Stanley Cup Final at 8 p.m. ET on Monday in Pittsburgh.

After starting the season 15-10-3, and firing coach Mike Johnston, the Penguins surged to finish with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference under Mike Sullivan. They then took down the Rangers and Capitals to begin the postseason, and edged Tampa Bay in a seven-game conference final.

San Jose, under coach Peter DeBoer, were one of the best teams in the second half of the season, and proved to be formidable in the postseason as well, breezing by the Kings, Predators and Blues.
