The Penguins defeated the San Jose Sharks in six games, clinching their fourth title in franchise history with a 3–1 victory in Game 6 on Sunday. Captain Sidney Crosby won the Conn Smythe Trophy for being the most valuable player in the playoffs, and he was the first to raise the Stanley Cup in celebration.

Gordie Howe is featured on the regional cover in remembrance of “Mr. Hockey” after his death last week.
