The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defenseman Adam Larsson from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Taylor Hall, the team announced Wednesday.

Hall, 24, was selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2010 NHL draft. He registered 132 goals and 196 assists for 328 points during his time with the Oilers. He had 26 goals and 39 assists for 65 points this past season.

Larsson, 23, was selected with the fourth pick in the 2011 NHL draft by New Jersey. He registered 9 goals and 60 assists for 69 points over the course of 274 games. He registered 18 points in 82 games last season.
