Beijing brought the curtain down on a memorable 2008 Summer Games. From a spectacular Opening Ceremony to world-record performances in swimming and track, China's 'One World, One Dream' fortnight will go into the history books as a landmark cultural event. There was a tragedy, plenty of triumphs and an awkward attempt by China's government to 'open up'. In the end, fans and participants celebrated at the Closing Ceremonies and looked ahead to London, 2012.
