TOKYO (AP) The first sports stadium to break the $1 billion barrier was London's Wembley Stadium. Now, Tokyo's planned National Stadium for the 2020 Olympics will be the first to reach $2 billion, according to the latest cost estimate. The world's billion-dollar stadiums:

$2 billion: National Stadium (construction to begin in October), 2019, Tokyo, Olympics

$1.6 billion: MetLife Stadium, 2010, East Rutherford, N.J., New York Giants and Jets, football

$1.4 billion: New Atlanta Stadium (under construction), 2017, Atlanta, Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC, football and soccer

$1.3 billion: Yankee Stadium 2009, Bronx, N.Y., New York Yankees, baseball

$1.2 billion: Wembley Stadium, 2007, London, soccer

$1.2 billion: Levi's Stadium, 2014, Santa Clara, Calif., San Francisco 49ers, football

$1.15 billion: AT&T Stadium, 2009, Arlington, Texas, Dallas Cowboys, football

$1.0 billion: U.S. Bank Stadium (under construction), 2016, Minneapolis, Minn., Minnesota Vikings, football
