Kyrie Irving’s late three to seal the United States’s 98–88 victory over Australia on Wednesday night have Draymond Green a terrifying flashback.

Playing with the Cavaliers in this year’s NBA Finals, Irving sank the Warriors with a game-winning side-step three from the right wing in Game 7.

On Wednesday, Irving rose from the wing for a three with 1:35 to go and gave the US a seven-point edge over Australia. Green was certainly appreciative, but in a Snapchat posted shortly after the game, he admitted he was a bit spooked.

“My son!” Green’s caption read. “That side step to the right was too familiar and wayyyy too soon.”

Irving finished with 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting.

Team USA is now 3–0 in the preliminary round, and will play again on Friday against Serbia in the fourth of five games in group play.
