Striker Christian Benteke has returned to training with Aston Villa today for the first time since he ruptured his Achilles tendon in April, the club announced Monday.
Villa manager Paul Lambert called Benteke's session "light" but said that he will hopefully train again with the group tomorrow.
From AVFC.co.uk:
"I'm delighted with the efforts of the medical team here at Villa for working incredibly hard with Christian to get him back to fitness so quickly," Lambert said.
"Obviously, we'll be monitoring his fitness and we'll continue to build him up towards a return to the team."
