Toronto FC and United States men’s national team midfielder Michael Bradley underwent successful foot surgery Tuesday to repair nerve damage, MLSsoccer.com reports.

Bradley, who has been dealing with the injury for much of the season, underwent a similar procedure in April. He is expected to return to Toronto later this week, but the timeline for his recovery is still unclear.

Next month, the U.S. men's national team will play two international friendlies, one against Colombia in London on Nov. 14 and another against Ireland in Dublin on Nov. 18. Toronto's season is over after failing to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Bradley returned to MLS in January after a transfer agreement sent him to Toronto from Roma. He scored two goals and had four assists in 25 games this season with the Reds.
