Watch: Darío Benedetto scores acrobatic equalizer in CCL final

Thursday April 30th, 2015

Club America was put in a tough spot early in in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champiosns League final, when Andres Romero scored to send the Olympic Stadium into hysterics.

Argentine striker Darío Benedetto seemingly worsened things with a wild misssed chance later in the first half, but he made up for it after halftime with an acrobatic goal to even the score at 1-1.

Latching on to a nice cross from the right of the penalty box, Benedetto eluded the attention of defender Bakary Soumare and beat goalkeeper Kristian Nicht to the near post with an acrobatic effort.

With the goal, the aggregate score in the final stands at 2-2, with both teams even in the away goals tiebreaker.
