Watch USMNT's Jozy Altidore find the net for two goals against Peru.
After being cut from the U.S. men's national team's CONCACAF Gold Cup team after the group stage, Jozy Altidore returned with a vengeance on Friday.
In his first action with the national team since the summer competition, Altidore scored twice in a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Peru at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.
After going down 1-0 in the 20th minute, the U.S. equalized things through Altidore in the 59th minute. Altidore was tripped up in the Peru box while playing a long throw-in from Geoff Cameron and earned a penalty. He had his spot kick saved by Pedro Gallese, but he calmly followed to one-time the rebound into the empty net.
Watch Altidore's first goal vs. Peru:
Altidore found the net again in the 68th. A cross by DeAndre Yedlin for Altidore was deflected wide, where Gyasi Zardes settled and hit it across the goal mouth. Altidore was unmarked at the far post and redirected the ball in for his 29th career international goal, putting him one behind Brian McBride on the USA's all-time scoring list.

The United States will play Brazil on Tuesday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts in the final tune-up for October's Confederations Cup playoff clash against Mexico.
