American Geoff Cameron evened the CONCACAF Cup clash between the United States and Mexico at 1–1.

After Mexico’s Chicharito opened the scoring in the ninth minute off a nice combination pass, Cameron and the United States answered with a 15th-minute headed goal. Michael Bradley delivered a beautiful cross off a set piece that found Cameron in space. The Stoke City defender executed perfectly, flicking the ball into the left corner of the net past Mexico keeper Moises Muñoz.

The match between the North American rivals ended 3-2 to Mexico after Paul Aguilar scored in the 118th minute of extra time
