A fan on the field at Sunday’s United vs. Red Bulls game was tackled by security.

A fan ran on field during Sunday’s D.C. United vs. New York Red Bulls semifinal match.

The fan ran onto the field shortly before the end of the first half. The fan appeared near midfield, spinning his shirt over his head before he was tackled by a security guard.

Two other security members ran over and helped remove the fan from the field. 

The United and Red Bulls are facing each other in the semifinals of the MLS playoffs. The Red Bulls eliminated United by a 3–2 aggregate score in last season’s conference semifinal.
