Just minutes after St. Vincent & The Grenadines took a shocking early lead over the United States in the teams' World Cup qualifier, U.S. forward Bobby Wood struck back with a nifty headed goal to make things all square at 1-1 in the 11th minute.

The play began with Gyasi Zardes near the right corner flag. Under pressure, the L.A. Galaxy man gave the ball to Michael Bradley, who slipped DeAndre Yedline through to the endline with a nice pass. As defenders converged upon him, Yedlin delivered a nice ball to the head of Wood, who finished smartly past the goalkeeper.

The goal is Wood's fourth with the U.S. national team, all of which have come in 2015.

The U.S. would take the lead just minutes later after a goal off a freekick from Fabian Johnson.

The match is the first in the U.S.'s run of qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
