Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta told reporters that win in El Clasico would be a great tribute to the late Johan Cruyff.

“Winning the Clasico would be a great tribute to Cruyff,” Iniesta said. “Hopefully we can win for him. It is definitely an extra motivation for us.”

Cruyff died of lung cancer Thursday at the age of 68. He was diagnosed with the cancer in October.

A three-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cruyff won three straight European Cups with Ajax, while also playing for the Dutch national team and Barcelona. He retired from soccer in 1978 and later managed Barcelona to its first European Cup victory in 1992.

Barcelona plays Real Madrid at Camp Nou on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
