Portugal defender Bruno Alves was shown a red card after he caught England striker Harry Kane in the head with a flying tackle. 

The incident occurred in the 36th minute of Thursday’s Euro 2016 warmup friendly. Kane went to play the ball with his head when Alves came in and kicked Kane in the head. He was immediately shown a red card.

England opens Euro 2016 play on June 11 against Russia, while Portugal’s first game is against Iceland on June 14.
