One Croatia fan was so moved by Luka Modric's audacious volley for Croatia against Turkey on Sunday that he decided to join in the goal celebration.

After Modric's 30-yard wonderstrike accounted for all the scoring in Croatia's 1-0 win over Turkey to open Group D play, he ran over to the corner and slid on his knees before being mobbed by his teammates. And one fan. A face-painted supporter joined the mix, mimicking Modric's slide even and joining in the huddle, appearing to kiss Modric on the cheek. Fortunately, the fan was not dangerous, but it's staggering that at an event at the level of the Euros, that stadium security is not more on alert to prevent things like this from happening.
