Referee Heber Lopes had quite a night on Sunday during the Copa America final between Chile and Argentina, sending off two players in the first half and liberally dishing out cards.

On the night, a total of nine cards were given out; Four went to Argentina and five went to Chile. He was quite animated in giving them out, too, hearing appeals from players, and barking at them quite a bit.

He was so unbelievably active in the first half of soccer that managers and players came up to him at halftime to complain.

At one point in the second half, he scared the living daylights out of Chilean defender Gary Medel.

He also ran into Lionel Messi, and had to pull on his arm to get back up.

As it turns out, Lopes has a long history of frequently carding players.

He certainly stole the show on Sunday, and will live in infamy.
