Jay-Z Prediction Market Favorite to Play Super Bowl Halftime Show

It is never too early to start thinking about Super Bowl props, and Kalshi agrees with its Super Bowl halftime show market. Some of the music industry's top performers are on the board with Jay-Z leading the way.

Industry insiders have linked Jay-Z to the Super Bowl halftime show for years, and many of his peers have even called on him to take on the performance. Jay-Z has a 51% chance to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. A $10 trade on it being Jay-Z profits $8.94 if that happens.

Never headlined

As surprising as it seems, arguably the greatest rapper of his generation has never headlined the Super Bowl. He has still been involved in the show over the years, as his entertainment company, Roc Nation, began partnering with the NFL in 2019 to help choose the artist and produce the halftime show.

In a red-carpet interview in January ahead of Super Bowl LX, he was asked why he had never performed at the Super Bowl.

“I thought it would be selfish to pick myself too early,” Jay-Z said. He later added, “Maybe one year. Maybe”

His ties to the Super Bowl go beyond Roc Nation’s partnership with the NFL, though. Reports say the NFL offered him the Super Bowl LII gig, and he declined over his stance on the Colin Kaepernick situation.

Jay-Z headlined a three-night performance at Yankee Stadium back in July. Following his performance, Oscar-winning actor Matthew Cherry took to his X account, stating, “Yeah. Jay-Z is for sure doing the Super Bowl this season.”

Another name emerging

Also toward the top of Kalshi’s Super Bowl halftime show board is Miley Cyrus, who has also entered the conversation. With 2026 being the 20th anniversary of her popular Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, many are speculating that she could be the headliner.

Cyrus herself also spoke on those halftime show rumors, saying that the pressure is high, but that she’d be able to make it work.

“I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure,” she said. “I would have to do the mental work of making it not about the Super Bowl, because then you can’t help but go, ‘It’s millions of people, and it’s the most watched thing in the world.’”
