Jimmy Butler Trade Market Hovering Around 50-50 at Kalshi

Jimmy Butler’s days with the Golden State Warriors may be numbered, and Kalshi sees it that way, with his trade price hovering around 50%. Butler is one of the top names on Kalshi’s NBA trade market, and several rumors and reports are backing up his price.

A $10 trade on Butler getting dealt returns $8.94 in profit. The market closes and settles on February 12, 2027, based on whether he is traded or not.

A short tenure?
Butler’s time in Golden State has been uneventful and expensive to say the least. Golden State traded for Butler in the 2024-25 season after a spoiled relationship with the Miami Heat. After acquiring Butler, he signed a two-year max extension worth $110.9 million.
Butler lasted the rest of the 2024-25 season and 38 games in the 2025-26 season before tearing his ACL and has been out since. Reports now indicate that he’s aiming for a February return in the 2026-27 season.
As far as a trade goes, Butler has expressed his desire to remain with the Warriors and eventually retire with them, per ESPN’s Anthony Slater.
"End is a bad word, but this is where I want to be done," Butler said. "Retire here. This organization is top-tier. It's the best. Keep it a buck. It's the best. You're playing with one of the greatest players ever. I'm grateful to be able to witness this. I want to be able to do my part, get this organization back on top where we belong."
Although Butler’s trade market hints at a move, no concrete reports or rumors have surfaced that the Warriors want to move on from him just yet. However, if the Warriors do decide to try and move Butler, they’ll then face the task of finding a team willing to take on his remaining $56.8 million contract.
While it is an expiring contract, Butler has commitment issues and might not sign an extension, leaving teams less likely to pay that kind of price for a one-year rental or less.
