Cole Custer, a 16-year-old from Ladera Ranch, Calif., became the youngest NASCAR Truck Series winner on Saturday, taking the checkered flag in the UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Cole Custer, a 16-year-old from Ladera Ranch, Calif., became the youngest NASCAR Truck Series winner on Saturday, taking the checkered flag in the UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Custer started from the pole and won in his seventh truck series start. He supplanted Erik Jones, who won last November in Phoenix as a 17-year-old, as the series' youngest winner.

Custer, who is the son of Stewart-Haas Racing general manager Joe Custer, led 144 of the race's first 147 laps, but was in seventh place with 20 laps to go. He crept back after two cautions and passed two drivers on the final restart with five laps to go.
