Report: FBI, IRS investigating Kurt Busch's former girlfriend
The FBI and IRS are investigating the former girlfriend of NASCAR driver Kurt Busch on allegations that she mishandled money as executive director of the Armed Forces Foundation, according to an ESPN.com report.
The investigation against Patricia Driscoll comes in the wake of a report from Outside The Lines in May that detailed allegations against the 12-year executive in the Washington, D.C.-based foundation.
Documents shown on the program established that AFF had acted in fiduciary capacity, providing loans - or even outright paying for - personal expenses including paying for security cameras for Driscoll's home and $15,000 in legal fees in Driscoll's child custody battle.

Tax filings and an IRS audit on the foundation revealed discrepancies in cash-on-hand at the foundation, as well.
Driscoll had formerly accused Busch of smashing her head into a bedroom wall and choking her in his motor home at Dover International Speedway in September.
Busch was suspended by NASCAR in February after a Delaware court ruled that it was "more likely than not" Busch committed an act of abuse. He avoided criminal charges in the case when the Delaware state attorney's office declined to prosecute him.
During sworn testimony, Busch referred to Driscoll a “trained assassin," saying Driscoll was sent on covert missions.
NASCAR reinstated Busch in March after he completed the mandatory behavioral assessment sessions.
