Former Boston Bruins Coach Mike Milbury Charged With Assault Of Youth Player

Former Boston Bruins coach Mike Milbury is facing assault and battery charges for allegedly assaulting a youth hockey player last week, according to ABC7.

The current hockey analyst on Versus is an assistant coach for a youth hockey team in Boston.  The 12-year-old victim played for the opposing team. The alleged incident occurred at Dexter School Ice Rink. Milbury, 59, played 12 seasons in the NHL with the Bruins before ascending to head coach of the team.  He led them to a Stanley Cup finals appearance in 1990.  Milbury also served as the New York Islanders general manager, resigning in 2006.
