Cavaliers' Daniel Gibson Needs Ankle Surgery, Season Likely Over

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson will need likely season-ending surgery to repair a torn tendon in his left foot and ankle, according to the Associated Press.

Gibson sustained the injury during a win over the New Jersey Nets on March 19. The team consulted with an outside specialist before deciding the sixth-year guard needed surgery. His timetable will be updated following a "post-operative review," but his season is likely over. The Cavs' season finale is on April 26 against the Chicago Bulls.
