The wide receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson is now Chad Johnson again.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is changing his last name back to Johnson, according to a post on his own website Monday.

Chad Ochocinco has officially changed his name back to Chad Johnson. The main reason behind the name change was due to his marriage to Evelyn Lozada. The couple preferred Evelyn’s last name to be a real name and not the fun “Ochocinco” character we have come to love.

Johnson legally changed his last name to Ochocinco in 2008 and the name began appearing on the back of his jersey in the 2009 season.
