Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s Sept. 14 bout against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez could earn Mayweather Jr. up to $100 million, according to an ESPN.com report. Mayweather is already guaranteed to make $41.5 million for his WBA/WBC junior middleweight unification fight against Alvarez.

According to the report, if projections pan out, Mayweather may see a $100 million take for the fight. The pay-per-view record of 2.44 million home buys of Mayweather's 2007 bout with Oscar De La Hoya is likely the fall and the live gate revenue is expected to exceed $20 million, second only to Lennox Lewis-Evander Holyfield II in 1999.

Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KOs) and Mayweather (44-0, 26 KOs) will have their bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sept. 14.
