In an unlikely partnership, rap mogul 50 Cent was announced Wednesday as the co-sponsor of NASCAR's Swan Racing, according to a statement by the racing company this week.

Born Curtis Jackson, 50 will have his SMS Audio logo on Swan Racing's two cars in the Spring Cup Series as well as logos on the uniforms of its two drivers, Parker Kligerman and Cole Whitt. The racers will be featured on specially-branded Swan SMS Audio headphones and, as part of the deal, Jackson will make appearances at various racing events throughout 2014.

Swan Racing, a one-car team last season, had five top-20 finishes heading into 2014.
