Authorities are investigating Tulsa guard Pat Swilling Jr. amid allegations that he raped a fellow student, reports ESPN.com's Paula Lavigne.

Swilling was suspended from the team last week but the university did not disclose the reason.

According to the report, a protection order filed earlier this week accused Swilling, a senior, of raping a woman on Jan. 27 at his apartment.

A Tulsa police spokeswoman said Friday that the department is investigating allegations against Swilling, but she had no further details. An athletic department spokesman said in an email Friday that the university responded to the matter immediately after it was reported on Feb. 11 to university security and local law enforcement officials, and that a disciplinary investigation is underway. In the request for the protection order, the woman wrote: "I told him 'no' multiple times and told him to stop. He told me to shut up multiple times ... he told me no one would ever know I was there and no one would find out about what he did."
