Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Honda Classic 13 holes into his final round, according to NBC Sports.
Woods began the day 5 under par, and seven strokes behind leader Rory McIlroy, but had fallen back to even when he took himself out of the tournament.
The world No. 1 had scored a par on three straight holes, and looked to be turning his day around when he stopped play due to increasing pain in his back.
Tiger Woods' reasoning for withdrawing from the Honda Classic is an aching back, according to PGA officials.
