Minnesota Wild's Zach Parise reached the 500 career point mark Saturday night with an assist on Mikko Koivu's first period goal against the Penguins.

Parise has had five goals and three assists in his past six games, and leads the Wild with 28 goals this season.

The 29-year-old left winger recently passed his father's goal totals, netting his 238th and 239th career goals on March 30, which surpass J.P. Parise total of 238 goals to go with 594 points in 890 career games. The younger Parise still has some work to do to beat his father's 594 points.
