Chicago Blackhawks stars Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane say they will be ready to play for game one of the team's playoff series against the St. Louis Blues, according to NHL.com's Brian Hedger.

Toews told reporters he felt good after missing the team's last 6 games with an upper body injury, and that he didnt feel like it was worsened by a big hit he took from Brooks Orpik of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

"There was a moment there right after it happened in Pittsburgh where we weren't quite sure," he said. "I think for the most part, with the level of pain I was dealing with, I knew it wasn't going to be a long-term thing. I don't think there was too much to worry about there. It was just going to be a week or two weeks."

Kane missed the season's last 12 contests with what is believed to be a knee injury, but said he felt like he was in good enough condition to handle game action.
