Louisiana Tech men's basketball coach Mike White will remain at the school despite being targeted by Tennessee for its vacant coaching position, ESPN.com Jeff Goodman reports.

White, 37, has spent the last three seasons at Louisiana Tech, compiling a 74-31 record in his tenure, including a 28-9 record this season. The Bulldogs' season ended after they lost to Florida State in the NIT Quarterfinals.

He has led the team to share of regular-season titles in their respective conferences (WAC, C-USA) in each of the past two seasons.

Tennessee is seeking to replace Cuonzo Martin, who left the school last week to take the head coaching position at the University of California.

According to CBSSports.com's Gary Parrish, Tennessee is now expected to reach out to Southern Mississippi coach Donnie Tyndall.
