The 2017 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament will reportedly be held at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C., according to DC sports radio network 106.7 The Fan.

A formal announcement is expected at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, but the news would mark an historical shift of location for the tourney; over the past 17 seasons since it was first played in 1998, it's been held nine times in Indianapolis and eight times in Chicago.

The tournament will again be held in Chicago in 2015 and in Indianapolis in 2016 before heading east.
