Austria's Rapid Vienna announced Monday that Boyd would be leaving the club to join Red Bull Leipzig in the Bundesliga's second division.

The 23-year-old Boyd was set to enter the final year of his deal with the Austrian side. He will now look to build off of last season where he was the top scorer for Rapid Vienna with 20 goals in 38 games in all competitions. In his two years in Austria, he tallied 37 goals in all competitions.

Boyd began his club career in Germany, playing for the reserve teams for Hertha Berlin and Borussia Dortmund in Germany's fourth division. He scored 20 goals in 2011-12 with Dortmund II, paving the way for his move to Rapid Vienna.
