Chelsea acquires Filipe Luís from Atlético Madrid for £20m

Chelsea has agreed to a £20m transfer fee to acquire defender Filipe Luís from Atlético Madrid, the team announced Wednesday.
The 28-year-old Luís, who failed to earn a spot on Brazil's World Cup team, will officially join the club once he agrees to personal terms.
Chelsea has made several changes to its squad this summer. Luís will be a replacement for longtime left back Ashley Cole, who left Chelsea for AS Roma last week. On Tuesday, Chelsea sold striker Demba Ba to Besiktas for around £8 million.
Chelsea also completed a transfer with Atlético Madrid for Spanish striker Diego Costa on Tuesday.
