U.S. international forward Terrence Boyd left Austria's top flight for Germany's second division this summer, getting a fresh start in his birth country, and the early indications are that he's making himself right at home.

While sharing the field with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Boyd scored in a preseason game Friday, bundling home a rebound during Red Bull Leipzig's friendly vs. French champion Paris St.-Germain (and then promptly doing his trademark cyclops celebration with the eye tattoo he has on his forearm).

It was the second goal of his preseason after tallying against third-tier German club SG Sonnehof Grossaspach last Saturday. The club has friendlies scheduled against Getafe and Queens Park Rangers prior to kicking off the 2. Bundesliga season against Aalen on Aug. 2.

Boyd, one of the seven cuts Jurgen Klinsmann made from his preliminary World Cup roster, played the first half of the contest at Red Bull Arena in Leipzig before giving way at halftime. He enters the 2014-15 campaign coming off two seasons with Rapid Vienna in which he tallied 37 goals in all competitions (including 20 last season).
